Danielle Kleber

Founder & Owner

I have always been a driven individual with a love for servant leadership. It has been a part of every experience in my life.

My early career entailed practicing clinically as a high school athletic trainer. I then successfully married those skills with the marketing and business world to help grow a private practice therapy and sports performance clinic into a large, successful business.

Throughout my career, I have served in a variety of roles within the athletic training state, district and national associations. Some of the most powerful leadership lessons have come from that work. This is also where my passion for supporting non-profit boards and leaders spawned.

Helping people win is an amazing feeling.

A few examples of my work

See below for a few examples of short term projects I’ve completed.

Developing an award is more than simply purchasing an acrylic plaque. It begins with developing application materials, selection criteria, a scoring rubric, communication pieces, and a repeatable timeline. Then, the process has to be streamlined to be as efficient as possible for those involved.

Work was done to create a form where applicants could submit their information and upload their materials directly on the organization’s website and receive confirmation of the submission. All items forwarded directly to the chair for ease of preparation and dissemination to the full committee,  after blinding. The scoring rubric was placed online to collect and collate results, speeding up the selection process.

It’s a good problem when the organization outgrows the chart of accounts. However, it can make reporting out of accounting software clunky and requires extra time being spent to manually match reports and budgets. A complete overhaul of the chart of accounts and updating that in the software allowed for streamlined reporting, which assisted with making budgeting and projections easier. It also positioned the bookkeeping to be an easier task for the next treasurer.

There is an art to handling provider credentialing in an outpatient physical therapy office. It was easy for someone who had not been trained in the process and who didn’t have an organizational foundation to lean on let the process get out of hand. Payors had incorrect provider information, some with the wrong specialties, because of how rosters had been submitted. Some contracts were saved, some were nowhere to be found. There was no repeatable process to onboarding a new provider and when a provider left the practice there were no steps taken to remove affiliations. Many former providers still had Medicare benefits assigned to the practice. Claim payments were being denied because providers had not been credentialed with the payor. A major overhaul to the entire process resulted in a more effective approach to provider onboarding and expanded opportunities for patients to see their preferred provider without incurring financial penalty.

Communicating with members is important, and doubly important when conducting member votes. When the national organization changed membership categories on their database, the impact to the email marketing list was significant. Unearthing this issue also revealed many non-members were receiving communications and potential voting invites because of the additive nature of email lists. Through a series of data manipulation, the lists were cleaned up and the new categories were situated. The list was also scoured to remove all non-members.

What is the significance of the train imagery?

My first athletic training job was in Lincoln, NE at Northeast High School, home of the Rockets. Yes, there was an actual rocket on the school and the mascot was Rocket Man who looked as though he could easily leap to the moon. However, many did not know the school’s mascot was originally chosen from the Rock Island Rocket, a passenger train that came through northeast Lincoln.  Many years later, when my daughter was young, she enjoyed watching the show Little Einsteins where the characters traveled around in their rocket ship named Rocket. This led to us naming the car I was driving at the time, a black Hummer H3, Rocket. It seemed to me a fitting name because it reminded me of the great years I had at Northeast High School, as well as made my daughter happy. Rocket was a great car and served our family for over 13 years. When it was time to name my new company, it seemed fitting to incorporate the word Rocket somehow. Similar to the original legacy of Northeast High School’s mascot, it seemed only fitting to use it’s original train imagery as a tribute to the founding role the word Rocket has played in my life.
